To mark International Women’s Day on March 8, 2026, Mercure Yokosuka will offer two limited-time, two-tone drinks—a yellow cocktail and a white mocktail—created around the theme of diversity and embracing individuality.
International Women’s Day is a globally recognized occasion established by the United Nations to reflect on the achievements of women, their roles in society, and the importance of building a more diverse and equitable future. It is celebrated worldwide as an opportunity to raise awareness and inspire dialogue.
At Mercure Yokosuka, we believe that first and foremost, International Women’s Day should be known and felt in everyday life. With this in mind, we present two contrasting yet equally meaningful drinks: a yellow cocktail inspired by the mimosa flower, the symbol of International Women’s Day, and a white, alcohol-free mocktail that offers a different expression of choice and balance.
Each drink invites guests to enjoy the freedom of choosing what best suits their own values, lifestyle, and mood.

The yellow cocktail, Miura Green Citrus Mimosa, is inspired by the iconic mimosa flower associated with International Women’s Day.
Made with locally grown ao-mikan (green citrus) from the Miura Peninsula, it features a refreshing acidity that captures the essence of early spring. Its light, vibrant character gently complements the anticipation of the changing season, evoking a sense of renewal and new possibilities.
In contrast, the white mocktail, Elderflower-Scented White Mocktail (non-alcoholic), is designed with a subtle contrast of white and pale blue tones. Delicately aromatic with soft elderflower sweetness, it evokes the image of white blossoms quietly emerging at the threshold between winter and spring, offering a sense of calm and refreshment.
By intentionally including a non-alcoholic option, this mocktail reflects the freedom to choose according to one’s lifestyle or the moment—an important value embodied in this initiative.
Both drinks are served in the same style of glass. While their colors and flavors differ, each is presented as an equal expression of value, symbolizing respect and balance.
We view International Women’s Day as a moment to reflect on empathy, respect, and the importance of creating a society in which women can express themselves freely and confidently. As a hotel rooted in the internationally diverse city of Yokosuka, Mercure Yokosuka has long embraced cultural openness and the natural coexistence of different perspectives and values.Through these two cocktails, we hope to offer guests from all backgrounds a meaningful moment—one that celebrates individuality, mutual understanding, and the joy of spending time in one’s own way.It is our sincere wish that this small experience helps make International Women’s Day feel more approachable, while reminding each guest that individual choices can open the door to future possibilities.
