Mercure Yokosuka is excited to announce the return of the Beer Festival in Yokosuka in 2025, following last year’s success.

This year’s theme, Nostalgic Osaka, draws inspiration from two iconic events held in Osaka: the 1970 World Expo and the upcoming Expo 2025. Guests are invited to enjoy a summer experience where past meets future—right here in Yokosuka.

Notably, architect Kenzo Tange, who designed the 1970 Expo venue, also designed the building that houses Mercure Yokosuka—highlighting a unique connection between the two cities.

2025 also marks the 100th year of the Showa era. To celebrate, the festival will feature retro-inspired dishes, classic Osaka street food, nostalgic Showa-era favorites, and café-style sweets and drinks—offering something for every generation.

This year’s Beer Festival at Mercure Yokosuka brings you a unique theme:
“70’s Retro × Osaka.”

Inspired by the vibrant street culture of 1970s Osaka, the event recreates the cheerful atmosphere of Japan’s past—offering fun and flavor for all generations, whether you’re a fan of retro culture or discovering it for the first time!

Enjoy classic Osaka street food like okonomiyaki (savory pancakes), takoyaki (octopus balls), and doteyaki (slow-simmered beef). You’ll also find nostalgic dishes from Japanese home kitchens, including retro favorites like kissa-style Napolitan pasta, juicy fried chicken, old-school curry rice, colorful jelly parfaits, and shaved ice with syrup.
